Marshawn Lynch Three Game Suspension Upheld; When Do You Draft Him?

Last March Lynch pleaded guilty to carrying a 9mm semiautomatic handgun in his trunk. For the record he did not shoot himself in the leg. The sentence was community service, but commissioner Rodger Goodell dished out a heavier penalty to Lynch and his teammates – a three game suspension. Fred Jackson has looked good in the past when Lynch was not on the field, but this year he is joined in the backfield by Dominic Rhodes who will certainly vulture some of his value. Our advise is to steer clear of the Jackson / Rhodes committee. If you choose to be daring and draft a Buffalo running back, make it Lynch. But where is the right place to take Marshawn given his three game vacation (1/4 of the fantasy season)? If last year he rushed for about 1,000 yards and 8 TDs then we should expect 75% of that production this year or, around 750 yds and 6 TDs. That type of production drops Marshawn to the range of the lates 20’s on the running back rankings. Peg him into a range just worse than Larry Johnson when you look to draft.
